Amigos Del Valle, Inc. operates many affordable housing communities located throughout the Rio Grande Valley. Developed in cooperation with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, these communities provide economical alternatives for very-low-income seniors under HUD’s Section 202 Supportive Housing for the Elderly program. The rent paid by residents is calculated at 30 percent of their annual adjusted gross income.
